The main goal of the “CHRISTMAS IN JULY” Charity is to bring joy, comfort, and support to children and families facing medical challenges, whether they are hospitalized or navigating unique life circumstances. We strive to make a positive impact by brightening their lives and easing their journeys.
🎅🏼The Christmas in July Charity focuses on three key initiatives to bring joy and support to children and families facing medical challenges. 🎁Through Toy Collection, we organize toy drives to stock the hospital’s activity areas and treasure chests, ensuring every child has a reason to smile during their stay. 💰Our Fundraising efforts help provide innovative resources not covered by the hospital’s budget, such as VR goggles, therapeutic tools, and interactive games that enhance patient care. 🏍️Lastly, The Charity Ride is our signature event, where Santa Greg and a parade of motorcycles deliver toys and holiday cheer to Marshfield Children's Hospital in July, creating an unforgettable experience for young patients and their families.

At Christmas in July Charity, our mission is to bring smiles, comfort, and joy to children and families enduring hospital stays and medical treatments.
Being in the hospital can be overwhelming for anyone, but it’s especially stressful for children and their parents. Marshfield Children’s Hospital sees approximately 9,500 pediatric patients each year, and a simple toy can make all the difference.
We host two toy drives every year for children ages 0-18:
Fall Toy Drive – Collecting gifts for the holiday season
Summer Toy Drive – For the Christmas in July event

The Charity Ride – Santa’s Special Delivery
🎅🏼Since Santa’s sleigh doesn’t work without snow, he arrives at Marshfield Children’s Hospital in style—on a motorcycle!🏍️
Every July, a large group of motorcycles and support vehicles gather at Bull Falls Harley-Davidson® of Wausau. Santa Greg, along with his Elves (riders), embarks on a heartwarming journey to deliver toys, joy, and hope to young patients and their families.
The Christmas In July Ride isn’t just a toy delivery—it’s a celebration of community, kindness, and the spirit of giving. Patients and siblings pick out their own presents on event day!🏥

Fundraising – Making a Lasting Impact
Santa Greg and his team do more than collect toys—they work year-round to raise funds for essential resources beyond the hospital’s budget. With the support of volunteers, sponsors, and donors, Christmas in July Charity has raised over $500,000 in the past decade! These funds help Marshfield Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Department provide innovative, comforting resources for young patients, including:

🥽VR goggles to ease anxiety and pain during procedures
🧸 Teaching dolls to help children understand treatments
🌟 Starry Night lighting for a calming recovery environment
🎬 MRI movie system to reduce the need for sedation
💖 Precious Moment Memories – Creating hand-cast molds for families who must say goodbye to a child, offering a lasting keepsake of love.
🛏️ Portable sensory stations – Creating calming environments in patient rooms to reduce stress and anxiety.
🏡 Kids Getaway Lounge – A fully renovated space where young patients can escape hospital life and just be kids.
🐶 Facility Dog Program – Funded Dolly, the therapy dog, who brings comfort and support to patients.
🌟 Beyond the hospital, the charity is funding a first-ever sensory room at a local organization for children with autism, providing a safe space to self-regulate, engage their senses, and build essential skills. 🌟
